LAFC VS Club América 2025
LAFC ended their Pre Season with a victory over Tricampeónes Liga MX Club America.
America fans took over BMO stadium in this friendly showdown.

Both teams started off with attacking strikers, Olivier Giroud on one side and former LAFC player Brian Rodriguez on the other. In LAFC's Midfield you had Newcomer Mark Delgado and Club America had Alejandro Zendejas.
In the 18th minute, Denis Bouanga gets the fans excited with a dangerous shot at goal. One minute later, LAFC misses a corner kick opportunity and instantly gets countered attacked giving America their first shot at goal.
In the 22nd minute, LAFC gives up the ball outside the box giving former LAFC player Brian Rodriguez a shot at goal.

Newcomer Mark Delgado definitely looked a bit lost in the midfield, struggling to adjust with his new teammates. In the 30th minute, both team were still 0-0 with America looking like the better team.

A 45:00 Minute giveaway by America defender gives Bouanga an opportunity and he took it, giving LAFC the lead (1-0).

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, having a couple huge saves at the beginning of the second half. LAFC seemed to get more comfortable turning things around in the 59th Minute with a goal from #27 Nathan Ordaz giving LAFC the (2-0) lead.

Club America got one back in the 63rd minute giving the club and the fans hope for a draw.

LAFC made a few subs, Mark Delgado left the game for Adam Saldana. Two former LA Galaxy Players now playing for the Cross Town Rivals.

This friendly exhibition eventually finished in a (2-1) score in favor of LAFC. There’s no question when these two meet again it won’t be a friendly match, even if it’s marketed that way.

These two clubs already have a short history with Club America defeating LAFC in a Leagues Cup Showcase match at Sofi Stadium back in 2022. The fans showed up for both teams, I’m sure LAFC fans were happy to see their team back at home meanwhile Club America fans had another chance at seeing their favorite LigaMX team closer to home.
